Our HOA begins at Briggs Drive & continues North. Bordered by Coolidge Hwy and W Long Lake Road. Our HOA was established in 19xx. Our HOA dues are $275 annually due by April 30th of each year.

Closest grocery is Kroger which is 2 miles east. Another Kroger is 4.7 miles northeast. Chinese Keno Restaurant and CVS Pharmacy are also located here. Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace is 5 miles northeast and Spice Mart is 5 miles north.
Somerset Collection is the closest mall. It is 2.5 miles south. It is a luxury mall with more than 180 stores and is co-owned by The Forbes Company. Some of the top luxury retailers present in this mall are Cartiers, L.K. Bennett, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Giorgio Armani, Herve Leger, Anne Fontaine, Hugo Boss, MaxMara, Omega, St. John and Coach. Some of the restaurants here are P.F. Chang's China Bistro, J. Alexander's, Brio Tuscan Grille, McCormick & Schmick's, and California Pizza Kitchen. The third level of the mall features The Peacock Cafes; it's a group of 10 eateries that could serve up to 650 customers.
Parks & Golf Courses
Beach Road Park is 1.5 miles west. This 10-acre park has a ball diamond, soccer field, and play structure with 4 progressive slides and regular swings. Paved parking is available for up to 37 vehicles. There is no restroom at this site.
Firefighters Park is 2 miles north. It is a beautiful big park that has football, soccer, and baseball fields. You could also go fishing, volleyball or play fetch with your dog. There's also an 18-hole disc golf course.
Boulan Park is 1 mile south. It is a beautiful big park that has 2 playgrounds, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts, a track, a pavilion, and is currently undergoing construction of a new cricket field. This will be the first regulation-size cricket field in the Detroit Metro Region and one of the few in the Midwest.
Somerset Park Golf Course is 2.5 miles south. It is a private 9-hole golf course that measures 1863 yards from the longest tees. The course features 2 sets of tees for different skill levels. The golf course follows a dress code. Shirts with sleeves must be worn, shorts of reasonable length, no cutoffs/bathing suits. No shirts with bare midriffs/halter-tops.
Stonycroft Hills Club is 4 miles west. It’s a 9-hole private golf course that opened in 1952. It measures 2884 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 123 and a 34.5 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels.
Another golf course located 5.5 miles northeast is Sylvan Glen Disc Golf Course. It features an 18 hole, 6,566 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 71.3 and it has a slope rating of 115. It opened in 1922.
Hospitals
Corewell Health (Beaumont) Hospital-Troy is 7 miles northeast. This 458-bed hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services as well as private practices. It has been recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence.
Another Corewell Health (Beaumont) Hospital, in Royal Oak, is closer. It is 6.5 miles south. It is the largest Corewell Health hospital with an academic medical center. It houses 1,070 inpatient beds. Services offered are cancer, renal, vascular, heart, radiology, and neuroscience centers as well as a research institute and a medical building with private practices and other Corewell Health services. This hospital has been recognized for excellence including University Healthcare Consortium’s (UHC) Quality Leadership Award, U.S. News and World Report 2015 “Best Hospital” rankings in nine medical specialties, and Michigan’s first hospital to receive Magnet recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Freeway Access
Oak River East homes are located 1.5 miles south of I-75 and 4 miles east of M-1.
Troy is in the heart of Oakland County. It is 20 minutes from Detroit and is also a premier location for businesses. The city offers 7 million sq ft of retail space and 21 million square feet of office and engineering space.
Southeast Michigan’s technology cluster is located in Automation Alley. It is 7 miles southeast. It is home to several companies like Inergy Automotive Systems, Electric Charging Station, and NBS Commercial Interiors.
Top of Troy is the tallest building in Troy that caters to corporate offices. It is 4 miles southeast and a block east of Somerset Collection. PNC Financial Services is the major tenant that operates regional offices here.
School District
Oak River East students are assigned to Troy School District. Troy School District operates 12 elementary schools, 4 middle schools and 4 high schools.
Schroeder Elementary School is 2 miles south. It is rated 10/10 by greatschools.org. Approximate enrollment is 540 students and the student per teacher ratio is 23:1. Boulan Park Middle School is 2 miles southeast. The school has approximately 700 students enrolled. The school teaches 5 world languages including Chinese-Mandarin, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Troy High School is a short walk east. It is attended by approximately 2000 students. Newsweek ranked the school 134th in America’s Best High School in 2013.

Schoolhouse Montessori is 3miles southeast and accepts grades PK-3.
Academy of the Sacred Heart is 3.5 miles west. It’s the oldest independent school in Michigan. This Roman Catholic School accepts infancy through grades 12. The Academy is a member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, which includes 21 schools in the U.S. and an affiliation with the Society of the Sacred Heart in 44 countries around the world.
Brookfield Academy is 3 miles southeast. The school accepts PK-5 and before and aftercare.
Bethany Christian School is 6.5 miles southeast. The school accepts K-12. The school also offers before and aftercare.
Walsh College is 3.5 miles southeast. The school offers upper-division undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and technology. It also offers certificate programs and online courses. There are approximately 4400 students enrolled.
Oakland University is 8 miles north. This school was established in 1957, and it offers 132 undergraduate and 124 graduate academic programs. It is also a doctoral research university. There are approximately 19,000 students enrolled and average tuition fees are $9,280 for freshmen and sophomores; $10,142 for juniors and seniors. Oakland does not charge any fees.

Wayne State University is 21 miles south. It's a public school that offers 187 program options. Students have the option to get bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorates. Areas of study available at Wayne State include biology, journalism, international business, teacher education, engineering technology, medicine, linguistics, pharmacy, law, psychology, and art, among many more.
